Frank Hudson create one of a kind bespoke luxury pieces of furniture for their customers.

The challenge

Put your best FUTON first

Frank Hudson create one of a kind bespoke luxury pieces of furniture for their customers, based in one of the oldest surviving chair factories in High Wycombe, their workshop was originally built in the late 1800s, which was once renowned for making the famous Windsor chairs. More recently Frank Hudson have been acquired by Gallery Direct, who also stock high end, quality furniture.

The brief which was initially given to BrightRED by Frank Hudson was to convert their existing tired Magento platform site on to a more sustainable platform, for this we chose OpenCart for their ecommerce site.

Our solution

This website MATTRES-S to us

Frank Hudson’s main aim was to centralise all web developments to ensure that all sites were being looked over by BrightRED. Their new website is now mobile responsive, making it accessible on all devices for customers. From this, the company wanted to improve performance of the site and increase conversion from their sales.

We first chose a platform which would make it easier for both admin and customers to use the site with ease. Our next step was to make sure, that the team worked on valuable competitor research to establish where in the market Frank Hudson were. The site then went through a strategic and specific design process, to ensure all aspects of the brief given by the company were taken into account. Content was then created for the site so the design of the site matched the ethos of the company perfectly.

The outcome

SOFA-R so good

The end product? A website which now uses rich colours to reflect the company’s luxury products, the new OpenCart platform also provides customers with a user friendly experience on site. Franks Hudson’s new website is now a stable and friendly website compared to their previous website which had issues causing the site to be on and offline on numerous occasions.
